Receipt tracker summary showing USD 205.50 across four sample receipts, with monthly and category totals
The actual workbook, shown with fictional example receipts. Change the year and currency to change the view.

Two useful tabs.

Receipts holds the records. Summary shows the selected year by month and category.

Keep currencies separate.

Choose a currency for the summary. No mixed-currency total and no assumed exchange rate.

Keep the evidence nearby.

Each receipt row has a place for its image link, ready when you need to check a detail.

Make it yours in a few steps.

  1. Make your own copy. Use the Google Sheets button and sign in to your Google account, or download the Excel workbook and open it in your spreadsheet software.
  2. Explore the examples. The 2026 USD view totals 205.50 across four receipts. GBP totals 107.00 and EUR totals 34.00.
  3. Clear the seven sample rows. Remove the contents of Receipts rows 2 to 8, keeping the header row.
  4. Add your receipts. Enter one receipt per row. Use a spreadsheet date or YYYY-MM-DD, a numeric price and an uppercase currency code.
  5. Set your view. Choose the calendar year and currency on Summary. Edit category labels to match your records, keeping each label unique.

The starter covers up to 1,000 receipt rows. Its summaries expect the eight receipt columns to stay in their original order.

What goes in each row?

ColumnUse it for
Receipt IDA reference that helps identify the receipt
VendorThe business you paid
PriceThe total paid, including any tax in that total
CurrencyA code such as USD, GBP or EUR
DateThe date on the receipt

The tax summary is separate information. It is not added to the price again and does not determine what tax you can reclaim.

Ready to do less receipt typing?

Sheetify reads receipt details on iPhone and Android. Review the result, then send it to the spreadsheet destination configured in the app, with the image saved in Google Drive.

This workbook uses Sheetify’s standard English receipt column names. This template works with manual entry. Direct app delivery into this specific template has not been verified. Google access, the selected spreadsheet and column mapping still matter; follow the app’s destination setup before sending receipts.

Before you start.

Do I need Sheetify to use this?

No. The workbook is free to use with manual entry. The app is optional.

Does it include income, a tax return or currency conversion?

No. It summarises the receipt expenses you enter, one calendar year and one currency at a time. It does not calculate profit, convert currencies, determine tax deductions or submit returns.

What if a category is blank or different?

The receipt stays in the monthly and overall totals. Its amount appears under “Unlisted / blank” until it matches one of the summary’s category labels.

Where are my records stored?

Your Google Sheets copy is stored in your Google Drive. The Excel file stays wherever you save it. Making a copy or downloading this template does not send your receipt records to Sheetify.
